Sunshine, rainbows and butterflies

Dear diary,

We're surrounded by negativity every day. Me, more than others. And I feel the need to actively push it away and surround myself with positivity instead. So that's why I love a good sunny day, a rainbow after a summery storm or a colorful place when I see it. I breathe art, I live through it and it's the most important thing that keeps me going. So no, dear teacher from Psychology University, I believe you're not right in saying weather doesn't influence us and that it's all in our head and our own interpretation. I am very much influenced by it and a ray of sunshine after a whole cloudy day can make my day, a colorful notebook or that perfect green dress that I saw behind a window do change my day in so many ways I can't even tell you. I don't know how it happens, but I just know it does. How else would you explain color therapy or music therapy working with the same effects as your cognitive therapy on patients all over the world?
So, dear diary, I want to choose what I believe in and I wanna have MY OWN religion. I do appreciate people's opinions and some of them are applicable but I will go on as a dreamer and a beautiful artist who loves her own little bubble and who is thrilled every time she sees other artists like her out there. I'm not alone and I feel so good to know there are others like me in the midst of all these realistic people who know what I should do to be happy. Nope, they don't. They know what would make THEM happy, but we're so different so why not accept our differences and celebrate them supporting each other every time we're happy about something? :) In the end, feeling understood and valued is what we all need to be really happy.

Feeling wise,
D.

Push your luck

Everybody's telling you to stop pushing your luck, huh? I know. I've been there too:) I even said it a few times myself. But today I discovered that if you want to get something, then boy you should go running for it.
I know, it sounds so cliche and tumblr written with Helvetica all over it. But it's not just the running that should make it, it's pushing your luck, really. I know, you know, everybody knows that we all long for something but sometimes we just don't wish it hard enough. Or maybe we're too scared that it might not turn out the way we want it to. Heck, forget the fear, GO for it! If it makes you feel awesome, why keep rain checking? Make it sunny already! Push your luck!
I pushed my luck today and guess what happened. The Universe did the rest and today was the awesomest day this month:) I kept meeting awesome people, I hugged, I smiled, I grinned with enthusiasm and then I stared in wonder. The Universe does give you what you want if you know how to ask for it:)
So, work it, help it, push your luck!:) See what happens! You can't be less happy than I was today, I'll give you that!;)

P.S. This is one of my main reasons of happiness right here (yup, another 365 days project, but this one I'm not sharing shhh:) )

Day 342. Seems like forever

love cloud

Time flies. Then it suddenly stops and for a while it forgets to move on because you found something that makes you happy and it doesn't want to steal it from you. After some time It tries to step carefully ahead, as slowly as possible, to let you linger on your moment of happiness. Then it moves on naturally on its path and sometimes you both go hand in hand with it. You and your inner happiness:)
It's 4 years now since our beautiful love story began somewhere near a lake on a summer night. And it's still growing, just like a child. We'll continue to raise our love the way it raised us until now: with honestly, trust, communication and generosity. The beautiful thing is that we didn't have to try a tad bit to make it what it is today. It all came naturally like it was there since the beginning of times and we just had to meet at the right time and in the right place. I always felt it was like that. And even if it's been mostly sunny around us, we learned to stay cuddled up under an umbrella each time there was a stormy weather around.
Look at us now!:) We're 4. I can't imagine sharing my life with anybody else. And I can't wait to see what lays ahead. Because I know that with him by my side, I can face anything. And I'll do that knowing that whatever happens he will be my shoulder to cry on, my right arm, my everything:)

I love you, honey!

Day 178. It's all about the journey

Picking snowdrops in spring Cluj Romania

... not the destination, they say:) Today my family and I made a new step in our family tradition journey:) We went in the search of spring. And we found her:)
We chose a different spot this time. One that we visited 4 years ago. Interestingly, we remembered details that helped us arrive exactly where Spring was laying in the woods. But today we took a new road, different than last time. Are you afraid of the new? I am, too. But I trust my dad. He has a good spatial orientation:) So our team began its walk towards the lonely woods, towards patches of snow and mild wind. When entering the forest an intense feeling of peace and joy caught me completely. I felt I was there and then. And nothing else mattered.
We continued our journey while gazing around and enjoying the sun embracing us through the trees. In the end we arrived at the destination. Snowdrops were peaking at us from everywhere. They were here and there, in the valley and on the little hill. But they were shy. Still not prepared to fully blossom. We carefully picked some and then we took some photos of us. I promised I'd frame one of them because we should forever remember today. This perfect spring day that God bestowed upon us:)
The road home made me smile once more because I realized all this journey helped me find myself, the same feeling I have after visiting a church. I really felt I connected with everything around me. I breathed spring, I let her come around me and enter my lungs, my heart, my everything. I feel complete. Right here, right now.

Day 173. Daughter of the sun

These days I'm reading a book about the King of Summer and the Queen of Winter, a teenage fiction that makes me daydream about the beautiful summer days, the lazy afternoons and the amazing sunsets, the smell in the air after a summer rain and all the benefits of a warm season. That's why every sunny day that leaves winter behind fills me up with happiness and steals away any dark thought.
Today the walk back home was more pleasant than ever. You don't usually notice the birds, but today they they were chirping so happily that I couldn't help myself not smile all the way. The sun made me feel more powerful than ever. That's how I realized. I am a daughter of the sun, a fairy of the King of Summer. Give me the sun and you'll make me the happiest person alive:)

Day 14. 50 shades of autumn

gloomy autumn day

Last Thursday autumn showed us her bad side. It rained all day long. I know some of you love rainy days, but I don't. I'm exactly the opposite! I LOVE sunny days and I take my energy from them. So, as you can guess, rainy days make me blue and "help" me find the bad part in everything. Yeah, what a psychologist since I can't psycho bubu myself with this one... I don't know, I've always been like this. In love with the "springy" kind of weather. The one that reminds you nature is alive and kicking. Rain just melts everything and covers the beating heart of nature.
   Don't you agree?

Day 10. Sunny Sundays

sunny alley in autumn

All Sundays should be sunny and peaceful. I'd love to travel to a new town every Sunday and discover its wonders while walking in the sun. So peaceful and eerie!:) So was yesterday in Satu Mare. I loved every bit of its countryside like streets filled with colorful flowers and beautiful gates. To many Sundays like this!:)
