Push your luck

Everybody's telling you to stop pushing your luck, huh? I know. I've been there too:) I even said it a few times myself. But today I discovered that if you want to get something, then boy you should go running for it.
I know, it sounds so cliche and tumblr written with Helvetica all over it. But it's not just the running that should make it, it's pushing your luck, really. I know, you know, everybody knows that we all long for something but sometimes we just don't wish it hard enough. Or maybe we're too scared that it might not turn out the way we want it to. Heck, forget the fear, GO for it! If it makes you feel awesome, why keep rain checking? Make it sunny already! Push your luck!
I pushed my luck today and guess what happened. The Universe did the rest and today was the awesomest day this month:) I kept meeting awesome people, I hugged, I smiled, I grinned with enthusiasm and then I stared in wonder. The Universe does give you what you want if you know how to ask for it:)
So, work it, help it, push your luck!:) See what happens! You can't be less happy than I was today, I'll give you that!;)

P.S. This is one of my main reasons of happiness right here (yup, another 365 days project, but this one I'm not sharing shhh:) )

Day 255. The light at the end of the tunnel

Today I learned that no matter how difficult the beginnings might be, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel which motivates you to go on. I've learned that it's hard to get yourself going, but once you've started, it won't feel as unpleasant as it did in the beginning. The important thing is to stop procrastinating and get yourself in the "working mood".
This morning I started studying for my summer exam. It was hard to get back in the "student mood" but once I got to it, it was actually pleasant:)
Also today was day 1 of a personal project my boyfriend and I started to get fit. We decided to jog every evening around a beautiful lake where people like us go. Seeing we're not alone strengthened our motivation to seriously involve in the project. I'm really excited about the outcome!:)
The light at the end of my tunnel is shining bright. I can't wait to touch it!:)

Day 208. Running against time

Time

Do you know that kind of days when you have SO MANY things to do that you have to split yourself to be able to do them all? Today was one of them.
I'm a curious case. On one hand I like having a full schedule because that involves helping people and not having time to get bored, but on the other hand I don't like to be controlled, to know that I have to get there and do this or that. Some days I just love my free time... Today I loved being a busy bee, but at some point I really wished I had Hermione's Time Turner. That way I wouldn't get all confused at the end of the day and double analyse everything that happened:)
Don't we all try to run against time? And doesn't it often outrun us and leave us behind? What do you do then? Scream and shout? Cry or break down? Or do you stand firm and use your synapses to their maximum?
I ran against time today and I beat it:) The victory doesn't involve fame or money but the satisfaction of knowing that everything was taken care of, that people are happy around me and that I'm good psychologist. I don't know about you, but that's what I want to reach and that's why outrunning time feels so sweet:)

Day 96. Life lessons

bus leaving the bus station Romania 2012

Today I remembered a life lesson my dad taught me: "Never run after something or someone who's not waiting for you." ... basically buses and men.
I was seconds away from the bus I had to take and I let it go remembering what my dad said. "Another one will come", I told myself and a minute later it did:) So, I learned I have to take my time and enjoy the ride instead of rushing to get somewhere only to get bored later on.
