Everything happens for a reason

These past days I learned that when life gives you lemons you should say "It's time for tequila!":)
It's still hard for me to accept everything and take it as it comes every time, you know? Disappointment and high expectations... I'm still dealing with those. I was told again that life doesn't have to be the way I want it to and that it can still make me happy in my most hopeless moments:)
I got to meet my dearest friends in a getaway at Halmeu these past days. It wasn't supposed to happen. I was to be the only one not going actually and I wasn't looking forward to that. So when I found out I would go, I was ecstatic. Cos between priceless moments with my dear ones, there was a wonderful vintage window I wanted to explore way more than I did last time I saw it. So naturally I've done some extensive research on appropriate outfits and photo ideas. I was ready. As ready as I'd ever be. I was looking forward to that moment like a kid on Christmas morning... Only it didn't happen. When we got to the awesome house we realized that the 3 years that passed since our last visit have damaged the house so much that we couldn't get inside. Or that if we did, the roof would have kept us in forever. I was upset. And hopeless. All my ideas were useless at the moment and what hurt the most was that I had to forget about the window I was seeing in front of my eyes just because I couldn't reach it. You know those weird dreams when you want to touch something so much but no matter how much you try you can't do it? Mhm, I was there. Between sighs I decided to take shots of the window alone because it was just too beautiful to move away. And then I was hopeless for the rest of the day. But life has an interesting way of turning things around and the next day I was taken some shots around the beautiful sceneries. And this is how I got to a photo of myself on a windowsill. THE windowsill:)
Everything happens for a reason:) Even rain and awesome book events like "1010 ways of buying a book without money" on a gloomy 1st of October.

It's autumn and we know it. But at least we got awesome books to go with it:)

Day 354. Empathy gone wrong

the calm before the rain

Today was one of those days when you empathized with the weather more than you had planned to. You let the gloomy clouds and the heavy rain get to you, so you were cranky and bored all day and you knew nothing you do could change that.
You wish things could be different and you could be like other people who just see rain as mere water coming from the sky and gloomy clouds as random weather. Today you wish that more than ever. You know everything is an illusion and it's all in your head as much as you know you can't really control it. You tried it before and it was always more powerful than you.
It is what it is. So maybe the only option available in this case is finding something that would turn your day upside down. A reason to smile, a reason to fall in love with today:) Guess what, when you want it hard enough, that reason reveals to you and even if outside it's pouring rain the sun inside will keep shining:) At least that's what happened to me, even if it was just a little movie which totally spoke to me. It was enough to make me go to bed full of hope like any other day.

Day 298. I've got sand in my shoes

golden afternoon

You know those moments when you wanna go places and enjoy life but your daily routine always occurs and you don't? Today I beat that. I got out of the loop and went to a place I used to visit back when I was in second year of faculty, studying for my exams.
Oh, this afternoon was perfect! The golden sand, the mild sun, the flowing river, the willow moving in the wind, the feeling of peace that embraced you while you were laying barefoot on the sand. And then there was him. The reason I smile, the reason I love, the reason I am myself and I'm not afraid of it. It felt like time stood still and I just entered another loop. The one where I'm perpetually happy and at peace with myself and the world. I need to go back there again. It's one of those places where I belong:)

Day 252. Bundle of joy

bundle of joy

There are days when nothing special happens. Days when you're looking forward for a reason to smile. And sometimes the reason just pops, without you even having to try.
Today I met this little bundle of joy. And we played together and I even let her chew on my finger:) She was sooo sweet! And the fact I loved most about her was her way of enjoying herself. She was so carefree and sincere! Even though at first she was a bit afraid, in a few seconds she came right at me and started showing me she wants to play:)
I wish we'd all be as carefree as this little kitty and stop trying too much. We just have to open our eyes every morning and smile. It's that simple:)

Day 180. Verba volant

Eagle flying

Oh, the guilt of having said something you regret... It floods you swiftly and it makes you want to rewind all that and be quiet during those moments.
I wish I didn't say that. But I did. And now I learned the lesson. That "verba volant" and that you can't take them back, that they can change your whole world  and that months of building a good impression can be destroyed in a second.
In the end, we all know everything happens for a reason and today I had to learn that I'm small and I still have so much to learn. So I accept the mistake, I let guilt behind and move on stronger. Because I learned my lesson that verba volant.

Day 3. The unexpected

labrador alb

Life constantly gives you reasons to smile. Every day you can meet the unexpected that changes your day and brings a smile on your face. For me, it's all about dogs.
Today we walked (my boyfriend and I). Not much, but it's a good start to become a healthy habit. And as we were walking, we bumped into this cute fellow. We spent some minutes by his side, petting him and talking to him. He seemed used to people because he wasn't scared and didn't run off like many of the dogs I met on the street. He wanted to be pet. My boyfriend asked me if I'd adopt him. I would have said YES in a heartbeat if I didn't still live with my parents.
This made me remember how much I want a dog. Maybe you'd ask me WHY? and then tell me that involves a great responsability. Honestly, I think this might sound a little selfish, but I want a dog because every single time I met one until now... I smiled. It doesn't matter how sad or troubled I was, dogs always made me happy. They're adorable and, above all, they're searching for your affection and they want to give you theirs. What can be more special than that?:)
