Day 155. Make up your mind, winter!

Whenever a season is ending you can't wait for the next one to begin. This time, spring is MY season, my beloved friend which makes me whole. So today when I saw the people from the weather forecast were right I just sighed.
It snowed again. It's beautiful to watch it while it happens, enjoy the fairy dance and feel like a child again, but man winter's gotta make up her mind. Too much time has already passed since she's been singing "Should I go or should I stay?" I really thought we said goodbye to each other already but, no, she's moody and she wants back. It's still her right to be here, so I have to keep quiet. But being patient is still tough. Let's see. Maybe if I play indifferent she'll go away.

[later on that day]
Brrrrr I'm cold! What's going on? ...  Oh no, not a flu again:(

Thank you, winter, for pimping my life. Not. I think we should break up. Asap. Don't ask me why. You already know.
With rage,
D.

Day 145. Niap

late November forest

Pain is like a spoiled adolescent girl. She's so sneaky that she clouds your mind, willing to make you focus only on her and forget everything else. And if you dare trying to ignore her she will grab your hand and she'll squeeze it so hard until you acknowledge her and you'll do everything you can to put her to rest... and she doesn't like to give up easily.
I had a terrible headache today... and a cold. Again. For the third time this winter due to working with kids. I couldn't enjoy anything. I just knew I had to work a lot and get through with it by the end of the day. I wasn't able to really pay attention to the small details that usually make my day. Pain... was frustrating and even though I tried not to pay attention to her, she would always come back angrier and angrier until I collapsed. I thought it couldn't get any worse. I wasn't in the mood for anything else but go to bed, sleep and make it go away. But then I changed my mind and I took THE pill. We always take pills. And although some say it's better without, in my case, it's not. Really. The Pill kidnapped Pain after just a few minutes and I could still hear her scream. I knew she wanted back to me but I smiled in victory. I could go back to finishing my presentation for tomorrow. Big day approaching...

Day 99. Be careful what you wish for

winter and snow 2012

Weeks ago I wished for snow. I wanted it so badly because I wanted everything to be perfect (like I usually do. Bad Dana!). I wanted a true winter, not just a wannabe winter, so here I have it. There's snow everywhere and I am thankful for that but... it's SOOO cold. Of course that by a mysterious chance I got a flu (again). So I decided I should be more careful with what I wish for. In the end it's not the first time I get hit in the face by my own wishes coming true.

Day 18. A good day for picking apples

picking apples

...but a bad day for me. I'm having a cold and I hope it will pass soon because I don't want my kids from the kindergarten to be sick because of me... Pills and tea and bed time.
On another note, I can't fall in love with Cecelia Ahern. I'm sorry, I just can't. Maybe I'm reading the wrong books but everything seems dull in comparison with Marc Levy. Is it worth it to borrow "If you could see me now"? I don't like the Romanian translation. Maybe that's why all her books are so dull...
