365 days project 2. Day 67. The perfect day

*no editing was necessary on these pictures

How would a perfect day would look like in your eyes? Mine would definitely start with a purple sunrise, continue with the wonderfully painted blue sky and finish with the most amazing golden sunset ever. I am all about the sky, the clouds and as many colors as the sky can paint.
In between those moments of the day I'd love to travel with my husband either by car or by train: somewhere with a lot of trees, mountains and many, many flowers... have a picnic outdoors, read a bit, look at the clouds and find nice shapes in them, then dance a bit and just enjoy life, breathe easy.
Then we'd go to Venice and wander around the city some more. I've seen so little until now and that town just has a very special vibe about it. We'd have dinner by the canal and we'd watch that golden sunset from somewhere up above the city, then we'd walk around the little streets some more until we get lost. At that point we'd take a cab and get home to the perfect, comfy bed with stars above and crickets soundtrack as we fall asleep. Yep, it would be a dream :) What about you?

The same steps

People hurry all in one direction. They know where they're going. Or at least they think they do. In fact, nobody knows. We're all heading towards a destination instilled in us, somewhere we can't deny. Sometimes we stop along the way and we wonder: "Is this the right direction for me? I think I want to turn around." But even if we do, we eventually end up where we once were. I told you. It's instilled in us.
We're all walking the same road towards the same destination. Some walk it faster others take their time, but the steps are the same. And we're all bearing the fruits of our lost love. The holes. Microscopic or not, they are all there. Pieces of us that were stolen by him and her and him again. For those we received in exchange patches of the ones who lost us. People who fell without us asking for it. And this is how we're all walking on the road towards It with holes and patches. Blind and ignorant. We couldn't move on if we wouldn't be like that.
Sometimes a scent reminds us of one of the holes and we sigh. But there's no going back after we pass the golden bridge. Just straight ahead. And it's funny how sometimes we feel like strangers in our own life. Strangers who walk and walk and walk... towards The Great Unknown. All following the same steps.

Day 309. Exceeding expectations

Many times we leave home thinking that we know what lies ahead of us that day. We plan it so we expect it to go according to the plan. But how wrong we are for thinking like that! Life is all about surprises that exceed our expectations, roads that we didn't take into consideration, something different than expected and yet more beautiful and amazing than what we had planned:)
I felt all those today. My boyfriend and I went for a long walk and a photo shoot on a hill near our city. As usual, I had thought about where I want to go and the kind of photos I want to take. But I was more than surprised when life read my thoughts and somehow made us face a  huge wheat field. A dream that I didn't think of accomplishing today:) I loved every bit of it even if at first I was upset to be far away from the goal I set at home. A blessing in disguise. That's what this was. Such a beautiful one:)
So, today I learned that life does exceed our expectations and all we gotta do is be open minded to change. Set goals, alright, but be prepared to have the ride of your life until you get where we want. At least I know that's how today felt:)

Day 173. Daughter of the sun

These days I'm reading a book about the King of Summer and the Queen of Winter, a teenage fiction that makes me daydream about the beautiful summer days, the lazy afternoons and the amazing sunsets, the smell in the air after a summer rain and all the benefits of a warm season. That's why every sunny day that leaves winter behind fills me up with happiness and steals away any dark thought.
Today the walk back home was more pleasant than ever. You don't usually notice the birds, but today they they were chirping so happily that I couldn't help myself not smile all the way. The sun made me feel more powerful than ever. That's how I realized. I am a daughter of the sun, a fairy of the King of Summer. Give me the sun and you'll make me the happiest person alive:)

Day 45. Lady of the mists

Foggy sunny morning

Mornings have always fascinated me, especially the ones bathed in sun or fog.
This morning I was pretty lucky:) I opened my eyes to an amazing scenery that should have made my day. Nevertheless, sometimes, no matter how hard we try during the day, we have moments of... boredom... and I guess that's normal. I was booored today. Bored and not in the mood for beautiful walks in nature even though it was a perfect day for such a thing (been there done that way too much with my family and now it doesn't feel special).
I guess there are days and days and we shouldn't force ourselves to do things that we don't feel like doing but then again there are opportunities that arise and that should be taken into consideration before it's too late:)

Day 29. Look up

sunny autumn day

On Friday I remembered how important it is to look up from time to time:) We, people, are used to walking ahead and thinking about how to arrive from point A to point B, but we often forget to enjoy the ride, to look around, look UP and notice the small details that can make a difference, that can make our day brighter, that can put a smile upon our face:)
Let's look up more often and embrace the amazing nature around us:)
