365 days project 2: Day 27. Expect the unexpected

   Today was the perfect spring day: warm, full of blossoming trees, delicious spring scent in the air, bees and butterflies around, green grass, colors everywhere. The perfect heaven picture! :) Nothing unexpected until now, right? But I had reasons to be surprised today.

   When you know someone for 13 years you think you pretty much know everything there is about them. The beauty of it though is when one day you find out something completely new, a detail that you somehow missed all along these years. And you let yourself be surprised. You learnt one more thing about your friend. Live and learn, right?

   The other unexpected thing is related to a movie the whole internet said it was bad. I went to the cinema because I wanted to spend some time with friends but my expectations were very low. I won't lie to you. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it wasn't for sure... BAD! I actually liked it! 

   Interesting, huh? How everyday life keeps sending us unexpected gifts. We just have to receive them with open arms. And so I did :)

Day 287. Wishing out loud

"Be careful what you wish for cause you just might get it"

   It's not the first time it happens to me. And even though, each time I'm more and more surprised and can't figure out how this works. I simply wish for something and I get EXACTLY what I wanted. German precision:) The thing is that today nothing bad happened but ... who knows what's next? From my experience, a mere wish can turn into a bloody mess. I guess I was lucky today:)

   My best friend simply wished for something too. And she got the awesome outcome of the saying. Because now she'll enjoy her "oh-so-wished" thingie without even hoping it would ever get true. 

   So, yeah, wish out loud, but think about it first!:) You never know...

Day 270. Giving and receiving

   Sometimes things turn out to be better than we expect and we receive much more than we think we deserve. And all that because karma works her deal all the way. What you give is what you shall receive:)

   Today I read a quote saying "We are not blessed so we can have, we are blessed so we can give." And I love giving! So I organized some cute, unexpected ways to surprise a friend on her birthday:) What I loved most was seeing her sincere reactions of happiness while she was expecting this to be just another regular birthday:) It's interesting to think that I was the one surprised at some point in the past and now, by doing this, I paid it forward. It surely feels good to be able to do it.

   In the end, there's more happiness in giving than receiving:) At least in my case. Making people happy is one of my purposes in life. Today, mission accomplished:)

Day 141. Let yourself be surprised

"Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."

   

   Today I woke up to a sea of white. I went to the window and I "wowed" for some seconds:) I loved that bright blanket covering everything even though I didn't see it for the first time this winter.

   I like letting myself be surprised daily by every little detail that stands out, be it a special branch covered in snow, a snowman built by clumsy kids or a ray of sunshine coming in my office. For me these little things brighten up the day.

   I know I'm bohemian but dreaming helps me smile every day and those little daily smiles bring a few more extra minutes, days, months or years to my life... and in the end what can be better than that?:)

Day 72.Big Brother

   Even if we don't think about it very often or even if we don't like to admit it, we're always under careful supervision. Our brain helps us make our first impression about someone in a matter of seconds so it's enough to simply pass by someone on the street. You're immediately framed and put in a category. And then, there are people around you who know you from different places. And they're watching you. Your every move. They want to be like you or they want to be different. 

   We're never alone. The others are watching and many of them are also judging.

   Never judge someone by their appearance. Learn to know their soul first and then decide if you want to be around or not:) Prepare to be surprised!:)
