Read me

I'm no compromises, half measures and fake smiles. I give myself completely and I often lose everything. I love deeply but I never hate. And I don't know about you, but I don't like sleeping because there are so many things to enjoy wide awake.
I'm a lazy Sunday morning between warm sheets, a sunny autumn afternoon in the park, a starry night by the countryside.
I'm a loving puppy, a fearful deer, a white dove, a phoenix bird. If money wouldn't exist, you could pay me in hugs and kisses and I'd be just as happy.
I'm the breathtaking view on the peak of the mountain, the deepest ocean and those amazing fluffy clouds on a perfect day.
I'm that book with the terrific scent, the cover that makes you fall in love and the story as old as the world and still true nowadays. The story you love reading, the one that makes you forget who you are and what you're looking for.
I'm a child's giggle, a teenager's dreams and a mother's devotion. I'm everything and nothing altogether. The kind of nothingness you need in your life to be grateful you lived.
I am what you need when you're vulnerable, what you want when you're empty, what you're longing for when you're sad.
I am you and you are me.

Day 352. When you dream out loud

I always dare to dream out loud. And I keep dreaming till I reach the stars, I grab one and I fulfill my dream.
This last one didn't seem too big for me, even if all the people around me said I should let go of it. I knew I wanted to climb this mountain no matter what it took. It was difficult and it involved a lot of sweat and tears, mostly self inflicted, but here I am today, standing on its peak and enjoying the view. Today I fulfilled my dream. Even if the mountain is just metaphorical, the feeling is the same.
I expected the road to be much longer because I know that clouds usually hide the peak of the mountain, but sometimes life gives you a chocolate from that well known box when you least expect. And boy did I enjoy that chocolate:)
I expected the arrival to be awkward because the vision of the destination is never the same with the actual experience, but again, I was surprised to see that I prepared well. I grew to love my road up there and it seemed like the road got used to me too. So in the end we were two old pals who were to meet at the top of the mountain:) The beautiful thing is that we can still go on together. Because this one was just the first peak in the many to be reached:) So let the journey continue!

Day 322. The highest peak

a terrific view

Climbing a mountain is always hard but once you get to the top of it, the terrific view reminds you it was all worth it. So much so that you want to stay there forever.
In time you learn to enjoy the journey up there and all the fascinating details you get to see along the way. Though, what nobody is talking about is that, at some point, you have to begin the other journey towards the place where you came from. The one that's usually full of regrets: the regret of leaving behind such a beautiful view and the peak you've just reached. But instead of regrets and sorrow we should learn to preserve that terrific view. The perfect image of achieving our goal. And that should be a new start. The start towards a bigger goal and a higher peak.
"Always aim higher and higher." just like he once told me.

Day 194. Like a phoenix

Today it rained. Then the sun came out. And then it rained some more. It's like Spring herself was crying over a break up and then she was smiling between tears.
I know it's hard to be at the bottom of the mountain and try to climb it back again, but if you've got someone to make you smile between tears, then you're the happiest person alive.
In the end, we all need help from time to time. It's only a matter of wanting to accept it or not:) And spring took it. I did as well. And now we're both raising from our ashes like a phoenix.
