365 days project 2: Day 17. Help the world

The funny thing about kindness is that when we see it on the internet we are moved to tears when in fact it should happen every day, shouldn't it?
The society we live in has taught us to fight for the resources and care about our individual well-being. So this is why societies that put the community on the first place don't face the same problems we do.
It's so easy to lend a hand, to care and to show the others you want to help them. I know, there are people who take advantage of these benevolent beings but why always put the negative side first? Why not just give into being the person you would like to meet, the one who passes by smiling to someone and help when needed? Think about it. When was the last time you were kind just because? Start today. Do something kind every day. It'll come back to you multiplied, but don't do it for that, do it because you can and the world needs it :) Be a flower rising from the concrete :)

Pride and prejudice

Dear diary,

Every day I discover genuine acts of kindness around me, so little and yet so inspiring. And the most amazing thing is that they all come from the most unexpected people ever, the subjects of criticisms and prejudice.
I want to be above that. I want to stop generalizing that a certain type of people are bad or not trustworthy, I want to stop feeling Fear, Guilt or Anger. I want to be a better person and not just say it, but act upon it and leave out all the negative thinking involving other people. Because, in the end, the rules from kindergarten apply to the rules of the society we live in: we all need to accept each other just the way we are (unless we're harming each other) and stop thinking we should change because we're grown ups and we're all the product of our upbringing... The written sequels of our parents' tales. Ones that can't be unwritten. So why keep trying to find the perfect rubber when we could just watch the tales in a different light and take the good things out of them?
I'm still fixated on our brain being prone to negativity. I want to keep fighting to stay positive and take the beautiful energy out of this huge library of tales. Transform the "Pride and Prejudice" into "Love and Understanding" so that I could be happy every single day. It's so easy to be happy. And it's so easy to be good, kind and loving, too :)

Smiling wide,
D.

Day 338. Beautiful people, beautiful places

I love visiting cities. I always did. But today I rediscovered how awesome the countryside life is:)
It was one of those special days when you meet beautiful people and beautiful places that fill you up with joy. I felt peace. That kind of peace that makes you say "This right here is perfect. Thank you, God! I love my life.":)
Away from all the technology we're surrounded by every day, I understood why everybody wants to leave the city at some point. I found bits and pieces that I didn't see back in the city. That smile all the people have there, their kindness and their generosity, their happiness when talking about life and their optimism coming from doing what they love. They don't need the city and all it involves. They're already happy:) I truly admire them.
I felt at home. Even more, I felt in heaven:) I feel so blessed to be able to live all these things and write about them. I'm sure difficult times will come too but then I will look back to all of these and I will remember what I need to be happy: a place like Sibiel:)

Day 175. Beautiful hearts

girl smiling

Today I smile again. And I do it because I met beautiful people who made my day: my new family doctor who's a sweetheart and a librarian from the American Corner:) Both of them wrapped me up with their kindness, patience and lovely attitude towards people. I wanna be like them when I grow up. Wait. I'm already supposed to be a grown up. So I wanna be like them now. Here's to kindness and beautiful people:)
