365 days project 2. Day 85. Family

You can't choose your family. That's what they say. You come to this world belonging to a group of people who will always be around you no matter what you do. You'll see them at birthdays, weddings and funerals and sometimes you'll spend holidays with them.
When you're a child, all you know is your family. You love them all to bits and you look up to them. You want to be like them when you grow up and you love that they know so many things you can learn from them. Then comes adolescence when you basically hate everyone. Your friends become your family and you spend most of your time with them. Your parents are your enemies and you feel they never understand you. When that period passes you become an adult. And when you're an adult you'll be wise enough to understand that even if you didn't want to be born in that family and you have your differences and dramas at times, that group of people will ALWAYS be there for you and you need them just as much as they need you.
Family is such a complex word and it includes so many feelings, memories and if you're lucky, that place you'll always call home.
We don't choose our family but whoever chooses it for us is surely having fun watching all those interesting stories developing. Hopefully, most of them have a happy ending.

The clean up

You wake up and you look outside only to see it's cloudy again... A lot of free time on your hands. You're not in the mood to drag your body out of your bed yet so you just linger there and you start contemplating life. Yeah, unlike others, you can just sit in bed and think. You get to the conclusion that the best way to spend this Saturday is to clean up. Autumn is the perfect time for that.
You start with things on your phone. A lot of notes of movies you have to see, random thoughts and useless data. You have breakfast and then you start hiding your summery clothes and bringing up the autumn ones. Next. Papers on your desk. So many of them piled up over the last months. And you have no idea how that happened. You stop for a second and realize you're moving slower and slower. You're one with the gloomy weather now.
There's something bothering you but you can't really put your finger on it. It's like the dreadful side of autumn got under your skin and now it's controlling your body. You gently take a paper, read it and throw it next to you. You repeat the process until you're surrounded by a big pile of "leaves". You soon cleaned all the trees around you and now the leaves are down there covering the floor with memories you made along the way. Things you'll throw away because you no longer need.
Your trees will get new memories next spring. But you'll throw some of them next autumn and the thought of that somehow makes you sad. You'd love to keep all the memories you gathered, all the feelings you invested in. But you know life's not an endless summer. You have to focus and take decisions. What will you throw out? Will you keep things just in case you might need them sometime or will you throw out anything you didn't use in the last month?
If it was up to you, you'd keep all the leaves until you had a sea of them in your room. And then you'd float on your own sea of leaves until you got lost in the distance while contemplating life. You'd later wake up on your bed on a sunny autumn day and everything would be perfect again:)

Day 76. Why we love kids

cute bee decoration

I know some people don't like children, so here are some reasons that might make them want to change their mind:

1. Kids remember your name very easily if you make them feel important and you play  funny games with them or if you show affection. Next time they see you, even if some weeks have passed, they will greet you with a joyful voice, calling your name and saying: "You're heeeere, what are we doing today?"

2. After you've seen them some times and they really know who you are, their first reaction when they see you again is run to you and hug your foot and say "I love youuuuu".

3. They are very honest when expressing their feelings. You can immediately notice if they're sad because they miss mom, angry because someone took their toy, frustrated because you don't allow them to play whenever they want or happy to see you. And when they're happy, they're really happy.

4. They're clumsy. They often fall from their chair, forget to clap when they should or bump into one another while dancing. But they don't think about people judging them. They laugh and move on:)

5. They're asking funny questions. They want to know everything that happens around them, like: why they can't go in the same bathroom together boys and girls, why their voice is still perfect after shouting so much but their teacher's isn't, etc.

6. They're very intelligent and memorize everything that interests them. And they like to be challenged in showing you what they know.

7. They don't need big presents to be happy. They're more than happy if they receive a colored dot and a praise when they did something right.

Only two months and a half have passed and I'm sure more reasons are to come:) I realized I couldn't have a better job. I feel complete like this:)
