Day 337. Live life fully!

Mmm... how shall I put it? Tonight was the best night of my life! And it was all due to Within Temptation. I know it sounds big but it's true:)
I always loved the band. I loved the guys so much I was sad when I found out they previously came to Romania and I didn't know. So given the fact they came here years ago, them coming back to our little country and going to a concert of theirs here seemed like a dream that would never come true for me. Little did I know:)
When I found out they were to come to ARTmania festival this year I was thrilled! I knew it was going to be the best time of had high expectations regarding the concert but I didn't know it was going to be EPIC!!! I never head banged to a concert before but this time it just felt right. For more than an hour and a half I got lost in a deep feeling of ecstasy surrounded by people who felt what I felt. And we were all caught up in a sea of intensely living the moment. It was going to be a movie moment we'd all remember our whole life:)
At some point during the concert I just stopped. I looked around and I told to myself: "This is how life should be. We should live fully and stop thinking about the money. We should go to concerts and make awesome memories that stick with us forever."
I don't know what the best night of your life was, but I know this was mine:) And I lived it fully:)

Day 250. Left behind

These days I've been running around like a headless chicken. It's the registration period for the teachers' annual exam and just like every year, nobody seems to know exactly what documents we need in the file we register with. So we all run around and try to solve this issue the best we can.
I guess it's a general trait for Romania. You thought the US is the country of all possibilities, huh? Well guess what! Romania surely surpasses the US! Here you never really know what lies ahead of you. Nobody tells you how to study during school, if the university you want to attend is useful or not and which are the odds of being hired after graduating. Nobody tells you how to search for a job or how to do your job, they just want it done by the deadline. Of course, they say you can ask and you shall been given answers, but we weren't raised like this.
The system teaches us to swallow a lot of information that teachers give us and take it for granted, so when we graduate highschool we feel like we're left behind. No critical thinking, no perspectives, no nothing. So that's when we wake up from the childhood dream and we realize we're grown up chicks that have to fly. But where to? And then we start asking around, just like socials being we are. And answers are given.

Day 86. Romania, my home

ziua nationala romania 2012

Today I'm proud: proud of the good people who died in order for us to live in a free country, proud of the people who represent Romania in a good way showing intelligence, creativity and generosity. I'm proud to be able to live my dream in my own country. I'm proud that even if we don't have the salaries of the people in the West, we can still have a beautiful, peaceful life, loving friends and family. Every country has its reasons to be ashamed of, but we have to remember to see the glass half full instead of half empty.
In the end, everything happens for a reason and I thank God I was born in Romania. I love its sceneries that give me plenty of photographic material, its warm and kind people and its beautiful, unique cities:)

   La multi ani, Romania!:)

Day 33. Traveling abroad in my own city

Tuscany lookalike

I know, it makes NO sense whatsoever, but I will explain myself. Doesn't this photo look like Tuscany?:D It surely reminds me of those lands:) The lesson for today is: Don't wait to travel abroad to start traveling. Just look around and start your journey by traveling in your own country first. Get to know it better, discover its chest of treasures and appreciate it more and more each day:) I'm in love with Romania!<3
